- Does saving change the quality?
- The GIF format requantizes each frame to 256 colors, so expect small shifts.
- Can I drop frames?
- Select frames in the timeline and delete them to cut the file size.
- Can I change how fast it plays?
- Yes — set the delay per frame, or select every frame and apply one delay to the whole animation.
- Why did the file get bigger after editing?
- Re-encoding rebuilds the palette from scratch. Cutting frames or reducing the size brings it back down.
- How large a GIF can it handle?
- Up to 300 frames or 1500×1500. Past that the browser runs out of memory, and you are prompted to shrink or split it.
